General Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2026-05-15

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all consultations, examinations, treatments, services, bookings, purchases, and communications provided by Dr. Saljo, Huebweid 1, 6340 Baar, Zug, Switzerland.

By booking an appointment, attending a consultation or treatment, purchasing a service, or using our website, you acknowledge and accept these General Terms and Conditions.

1. Medical Practice and Scope of Services

Dr. Saljo is a physician-led medical practice offering aesthetic medicine, preventive and longevity medicine, ultrasound diagnostics, medical consultations, and related treatments.

All services are provided on an individual medical basis. Recommendations, treatment plans, and prices may vary depending on the patient’s medical history, examination findings, indication, treatment goals, product selection, treatment complexity, and medical suitability.

Information provided on this website is for general informational purposes only. It does not replace an individual medical consultation, diagnosis, or treatment recommendation.

2. No Emergency Service

Dr. Saljo is not an emergency practice.

In urgent or life-threatening situations, please contact the emergency services immediately or attend the nearest emergency department. Messages sent by email, contact form, online booking, social media, or voicemail may not be reviewed immediately and must not be used in medical emergencies.

3. Appointments and Booking

Appointments may be requested or booked via online booking, telephone, email, or contact form.

An appointment is only confirmed once it has been accepted by the practice or confirmed through the booking system. The practice reserves the right to reschedule, refuse, or cancel appointments where medically, organizationally, or legally appropriate.

Please arrive on time for your appointment. Late arrival may reduce the available consultation or treatment time. In some cases, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and may be subject to the cancellation policy.

4. Medical Consultation and Treatment Suitability

Before any medical or aesthetic treatment, an individual consultation and assessment may be required. This may include medical history, examination, ultrasound diagnostics, laboratory review, photography, informed consent, or additional clarification depending on the service.

A treatment is only performed if it is considered medically appropriate and safe. Dr. Saljo reserves the right to decline or postpone treatment if there are medical contraindications, unrealistic expectations, incomplete information, pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, medication-related risks, or other relevant concerns.

Treatment recommendations may change after consultation or examination.

5. Informed Consent

Before medical or aesthetic procedures, patients will be informed about the nature of the treatment, expected benefits, alternatives, limitations, potential risks, side effects, aftercare, and costs where applicable.

By proceeding with treatment, the patient confirms that they have had the opportunity to ask questions and that they consent to the treatment.

Some treatments may require written consent before being performed.

6. Treatment Results and Expectations

Medical and aesthetic results vary between individuals. Factors such as anatomy, age, skin quality, metabolism, lifestyle, previous treatments, medical conditions, medication, aftercare, and individual healing response may influence the outcome.

No specific result, aesthetic improvement, duration of effect, or medical outcome can be guaranteed.

Treatments may require staged sessions, maintenance treatments, follow-up appointments, or combination approaches to achieve or maintain results. Additional treatments are generally charged separately unless explicitly included in the agreed treatment plan.

7. Risks, Side Effects, and Complications

All medical and aesthetic treatments carry potential risks. These may include, depending on the treatment, temporary redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, asymmetry, infection, allergic reactions, vascular complications, pigmentation changes, scarring, unsatisfactory results, or the need for correction or further treatment.

Rare complications may occur even when treatments are performed correctly and according to medical standards.

Patients must follow the provided aftercare instructions. Failure to follow aftercare advice may affect the result, increase risks, or limit the possibility of correction.

8. Patient Responsibilities

Patients are responsible for providing complete and accurate information regarding their medical history, allergies, medication, previous treatments, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, current symptoms, infections, and any relevant health conditions.

Patients must inform the practice of any changes in their health status before treatment.

Patients are also responsible for following pre-treatment and aftercare instructions and for contacting the practice promptly if unexpected symptoms, concerns, or complications occur after treatment.

9. Prices and Payment

Prices are listed in Swiss francs (CHF), unless otherwise stated.

Prices published on the website or communicated in advance are indicative and may vary depending on the final treatment plan, product amount, treatment complexity, diagnostic needs, laboratory costs, medication, or additional services.

The final price is discussed during consultation or before treatment whenever possible.

Payment is due at the time of consultation, treatment, or product purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods may include card payment, bank transfer, or other payment methods accepted by the practice.

Outstanding invoices must be paid within the stated payment period. The practice reserves the right to charge reminder fees or collection costs where legally permitted.

10. Insurance and Self-Payment

Many aesthetic, preventive, longevity, and elective services are self-pay services and are not covered by mandatory Swiss health insurance.

Certain medically indicated services may be reimbursable depending on the patient’s insurance model, indication, deductible, supplementary insurance, and applicable rules.

It is the patient’s responsibility to clarify coverage with their insurance provider in advance. Dr. Saljo does not guarantee reimbursement by health insurance or supplementary insurance.

11. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy

Appointments require reserved medical time, preparation, staff availability, and room capacity.

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

For cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, missed appointments, or non-attendance, the practice reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of CHF 200.

This fee may also apply if the patient arrives too late and the appointment can no longer be carried out properly.

12. Follow-Up Appointments and Corrections

Follow-up appointments are recommended where medically indicated and may be required to assess treatment response, healing, symmetry, or possible side effects.

For botulinum toxin treatments, a follow-up visit including a possible touch-up may be included within the stated time frame if this is explicitly part of the treatment description. Treatments performed outside the included follow-up period are considered a new, chargeable treatment.

Corrective treatments, additional product, further sessions, dissolving treatments, complication management, or restorative treatments may incur additional costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.

13. Products, Medication, Laboratory Tests, and Third-Party Services

Some services may involve prescription medication, medical products, laboratory diagnostics, external laboratories, pharmacies, manufacturers, or other third-party providers.

Costs for laboratory tests, medication, supplements, devices, prescriptions, shipping, external reports, or third-party services may be charged separately unless expressly included.

Availability of products, medications, or laboratory services may change. The practice reserves the right to adapt treatment plans accordingly.

14. Vouchers, Packages, and Promotions

Vouchers, packages, or promotional offers are only valid under the conditions stated at the time of purchase or publication.

They are generally non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash unless required by law.

If a treatment included in a package is medically unsuitable, the practice may suggest an alternative treatment or adjust the plan.

Promotions may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time.

15. Website Information and Medical Content

The content on this website is created with care. However, it is general information and may not apply to every patient.

Medical knowledge, products, techniques, prices, and regulations may change over time. The practice does not guarantee that all website information is complete, current, or suitable for an individual medical situation.

Before making treatment decisions, an individual consultation is required.

16. Online Booking, Contact Forms, and Communication

Online booking, email, contact forms, and social media messages are provided for convenience.

Communication through these channels may not be encrypted or may not be suitable for urgent or sensitive medical information. Patients should avoid sending highly sensitive information through unsecured channels unless they accept the associated risks.

Appointment requests, emails, and messages are processed during practice hours as far as possible. A response time cannot be guaranteed.

17. Medical Records, Privacy, and Confidentiality

Patient information is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection and medical confidentiality requirements.

Medical records, treatment documentation, images, laboratory results, invoices, and communication may be stored as part of the patient file where medically or legally required.

Further details on how personal data is processed are provided in the Privacy Policy.

18. Photography and Documentation

Before-and-after photographs, ultrasound images, clinical images, or other documentation may be taken where medically relevant for assessment, planning, follow-up, safety, or documentation.

Such images form part of the medical record and are treated confidentially.

Images will not be used for marketing, teaching, publication, or social media without separate consent.

19. Liability

Dr. Saljo provides services according to professional medical standards.

Liability is limited to damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Liability for indirect damages, loss of income, loss of opportunity, dissatisfaction with aesthetic results, or outcomes influenced by individual healing, patient behavior, incomplete information, or failure to follow aftercare instructions is excluded to the extent legally permitted.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

20. Refusal or Termination of Treatment Relationship

The practice may refuse, postpone, or terminate treatment where medically, ethically, legally, or organizationally appropriate.

This may apply in cases of unsafe treatment requests, unrealistic expectations, abusive behavior, repeated non-attendance, unpaid invoices, incomplete medical information, or loss of trust in the therapeutic relationship.

Necessary urgent medical information or referral recommendations will be provided where appropriate.

21. Changes to These Terms

Dr. Saljo may update these General Terms and Conditions at any time.

The version published on the website at the time of booking or service provision applies unless otherwise agreed in writing.

22. Applicable Law and Place of Jurisdiction

These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law.

The place of jurisdiction is Zug, Switzerland, unless mandatory legal provisions provide otherwise.
